Pre-Shave Oil: Applying Pre-Shave Oil is the first step in The Art of Shaving's trademarked 4 Elements of The Perfect Shave. Before shaving, place a few drops of Pre-Shave Oil onto your fingertips. Massage the oil into the area to be shaved (including the neck) to help soften and lift facial hair. You'll need just enough to provide a light coating over the beard area. Do not rinse off before shaving. Instead, apply Shaving Cream directly on top.

Shaving Cream: Wet your brush thoroughly under hot water before applying a fingerful of shaving cream to the center. Apply to your face in quick, circular movements to exfoliate the skin and produce a rich lather. Shave with the grain on your first pass.
